Methodology
Comparing wind-tunnel figures from different tests
Why mannequin, speed and yaw matter, and how figures are put on one baseline.
Protocols differ
Some tests use a full rider, others a legs-only mannequin or no rider at all. Test speed, yaw angle and wheels also differ, so raw numbers aren't directly comparable.
Our approach
Every catalog figure stores its source, speed, yaw, wheels and mannequin type. For ranking, legs-only figures are converted to a full-rider estimate; the raw figure is always kept and shown.
Review before publishing
New figures found in cycling media are reviewed by an admin before entering the catalog.
